Dr. Giselle Withers is a Senior Clinical Psychologist and mindfulness teacher with over 20 years of experience treating chronic sleep disturbance, chronic illness, trauma, depression and anxiety and helping people looking for support with confidence, self-esteem and self-identity. She holds a Doctor of Psychology (Clinical, CAF) from La Trobe University, is registered with AHPRA, aa Fellow of the College of Clinical Psychologists with the Australian Psychological Society, and member of the Australasian Sleep Association.
Giselle has a compassionate and non-judgmental counselling style. She listens carefully to understand the person behind the problems they face, and tailors her treatment to the needs of each client. Her treatment approach for insomnia draws on a range of evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing for trauma (EMDR), and Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS). When appropriate she can offer clinical hypnosis to assist with treatment efficacy.

Appointment Fees
Individual assessment and therapy sessions (55-60 mins) : $310 (or $168.15 after the Medicare rebate* )
Review Sessions (25-30 mins) $240 (or $143.35 after a Medicare rebate*)
Group Programs: Individual sessions fees are included in the cost of group programs.
*From July 1st 2024 individuals referred by their GP with a mental health care plan are eligible for a $141.85 Medicare rebate per 50 min session, and $96.65 per 30 mins session. Currently, 10 Medicare subsidised sessions are available each year.
Steps to book an appointment
If you are a new client please use the contact form to make an enquiry for an appointment.
If you are considering a group program feel free to book a "Discovery Call" to explore if the program is suitable for you.
"Individual Consultations" are for existing clients only.
1. Go to booking calendar below and change the timezone to your home location. The default setting is for the Sydney/Melbourne timezone.
2. Choose an appointment type.
Use "Discovery Call" if you are considering joining the Restful Nights through Perimenopause program and would like to ask Giselle some questions and find out more about the program.
Use "Individual Consultation" for a 60 min appoint (Either as a client for individual treatment, or if you have already registered and paid for the Restful Nights through Perimenopause program)
Use "Review session" once you have completed treatment and need a shorter follow up session.
3. Scroll through the calendar and choose an appointment time that suits you.
4. Fill in your details and click 'Submit'.
5. A verification code will be sent to your phone to complete the booking.
6. Once your appointment is successfully booked, you will see a confirmation message on screen and receive a confirmation email. If you do not see this message the appointment has not been confirmed. (Please try booking your appointment again or contact admin@amindfulway.com.au)
Cancellation policy
If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please provide at least 48 hours notice prior to the appointment time, by emailing admin@amindfulway.com.au providing your name, phone number and the date and time of the appointment you wish to cancel. A new session time can be booked using the online booking calendar.
